Welcome to Lost Arts Knife Making School.

Who we are.

Lost Arts are a small craft school in Clevedon run by Bruce and Anne Stuart. We run small, beginner-friendly knife making courses where people step out of the rush, learn by doing, and leave with a knife they made themselves. Classes are friendly and small, so you can switch off for a day and make something you’ll be proud of.

Where we are.

Head out of the city for 45 minutes and you’re in Ness Valley, Clevedon. It feels a world away from Auckland, but close enough for an easy day trip. Our workshop sits among hills and native bush, the forge humming while birds chatter outside. Clevedon’s known for its Farmers Market and artisan crowd; we fit right in. Come out, slow down, and spend a day making something real.

What we do.

We offer a variety of 1-Day knife making courses designed for beginners and experts alike. Our courses are limited to 6 people, so each person gets plenty of 1-on-1 time with Bruce. This course is perfect for dads, mums, brothers, sisters, boyfriends, girlfriends, team building, corporates and anyone who wants to learn something different! Feel free to email us if you have any questions.
